Hi, I’m Cara.
Mom of six. Peloton leaderboard regular. Accidental small business owner. Here’s how a nickname turned into ShortyBoss Shop.
A leaderboard name that stuck
Between six kids, a full house, and early-morning rides, I found my people on the Peloton leaderboard. Somewhere along the way, my handle — #ShortyBoss8 — stopped being just a username and started being how people knew me.
Riders started asking where I got my gear, and eventually where they could get their own. So I started making it — one personalized order at a time, from my kitchen table between school drop-offs and 5:30am classes.
Six years, 1,167+ orders, and one Star Seller badge later, that’s still exactly how ShortyBoss Shop runs: made by me, made for you, one order at a time.
From leaderboard nickname to full-blown shop
The handle is born
#ShortyBoss8 becomes a familiar name on the leaderboard — mom of six, showing up before sunrise.
Kitchen table beginnings
Fellow riders start asking for custom gear. What began as favors for friends turns into real orders.
Etsy takes off
1,167+ orders later, ShortyBoss Shop earns Etsy’s Star Seller badge with a steady 5.0 rating.
A home of our own
ShortyBoss Shop moves off Etsy and into its own store — same made-to-order heart, new home.
The ShortyBoss personality, in three parts
Witty names, big personality, zero corporate stiffness. If it doesn’t make you smile, it doesn’t ship.
Every order is made-to-order, not pulled off a shelf. Your name, your idea, your piece.
Built by someone who knows what it takes to show up — on the bike and in the business.
